Three major phone releases from some of the top manufacturers appear to have gotten leaked. According to a blog in the Netherlands, they have gotten a hold of an internal T-mobile email that outlines all three release dates for the upcoming Flagships from Sony, HTC, and Samsung. According to the email details, the launch dates for the Galaxy S5, HTC M8, and the Sony Xperia Z2 are all listed within the internal emails context. If the information within the email is correct, then we will see the release of the “Next Big Thing” from Samsung on or around Feb. 24th. What the email actually says is that the phone is scheduled to launch the 9th week of the year, which puts the launch between Monday of next week when Mobile World Congress officially begins, and the weekend to follow.
Samsung’s release date is supposedly followed up by the Xperia Z2 from Sony which is allegedly scheduled for a launch date of the 11th week of the year, which would mean we should see this phone hit shelves sometime between March 11th and March 16th. lastly, which of course falls in line with what the rumors have already been saying about HTC’s latest flagship unveiling, is the HTC M8 which is scheduled to get released in week 13 of the year. As we all probably know by now, the HTC M8 has been rumored to be unveiled on March 25th in New York, so if we’re to believe these release dates, then sometime after the unveiling is when we should see “The All New One” be made available for purchase, which falls between March 24th and March 30th. If we follow the rumors about the unveiling date, it will most likely be released sometime after the 25th of next month.
Take all of this information with a grain of salt, but we wouldn’t say dismiss it completely. It’s OK to stay hopeful about this information regarding release dates just as long as you don’t take them completely to heart should the launch times end up changing. As Mobile World Congress begins this coming Monday, Samsung’s unpacked 5 event could end up shedding some light on all this. Time will tell if this internal email proved to be true. Is anyone as excited as we are to learn more?
