Could the LG G Pad 8.3 be heading over to Verizon pretty soon? It sure seems that way. It appears that LG and Verizon are partnering up to get their latest tablet on the largest network in the US. Now we had already seen the Verizon variant pass through the FCC. But the latest image – shown above – pretty much confirms the LG G Pad 8.3 is heading to Verizon, soon. As expected, you do see the Verizon logos everywhere, but somehow Verizon put less logos on the G Pad than the G2. Which is rather surprising, hopefully they didn’t hear me say that. But as you can see from the image, there’s a Verizon logo at the top on the front and on the back at the top, along with a “4G LTE” logo on the back as well. So it’s not too bad.
The LG G Pad 8.3 already has a pretty nice looking spec sheet, which includes a 8.3-inch 1920×1200 resolution IPS display, Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 5MP camera on the back, 16GB of storage, and Android 4.2.2. The only difference between the WiFi and the LTE versions should be the CDMA-LTE radio, at least internally. However, it may be like the Nexus 7 and not have support for Verizon’s 3G network, which wouldn’t bother most people as Verizon has LTE just about everywhere.
Currently, the LG G Pad 8.3 is going for about $350 for the WiFi edition. With the exception of today’s sale on Newegg where the tablet is going for $250. I’d expect the LTE version to be around $400-450. Of course I could be wrong. Not that, that’s never happened before.
