LG G Pro 2 Coming With 4K video Capabilities and 13MP Camera

We reported that LG is planning on launching a new device in February, and this device is the LG G Pro 2. There is not much known about the device yet, at least information confirmed. Now LG has used their blog to give us a bit of a taste of what we will see. Consider it a teaser of sorts, and it revolves around the camera.

According to the Korean blog, the LG G Pro 2 will have a 13MP rear facing camera, which is about par, but there is more. LG also makes mention of something they dubbed OIS Plus. OIS Plus, is going to be the new camera stabilization software, in long, OIS stands for Optical Image Stabilization. This software will help those of us who drink energy drinks and get a little shaky sometimes, to take a better more clear picture. They even are saying that this software will help in low light, and even dark situations.

Adding to that goodness, LG is reporting that the next phablet will have 4K video recording capabilities. That is 3840 x 2160 pixels, in each video using the option, though the on device screen resolution is still unknown. That doesn’t mean there are no rumors surrounding the device.

The rumors surrounding the G Pro 2 say we will see a 6-inch full HD display. We also expect to see the device launch with Android Kit Kat 4.4.2, or whatever is the latest version as of launch. Other than that, there isn’t much on the device.  Unfortunately, the blog didn’t give much more info, regarding dates of course. It may be possible that they will launch it at Mobile World Congress, which is February 24-27th. Though, that is not confirmed, so we will just have to wait and see.

What do you think about the standards of cameras on smartphones now a days? Do you really feel good knowing that you will have 4K video capabilities in your pocket with this device? Or is 4K video recording not something you feel the need to have? Let us know down below, or visit us on G+
