Android Collectibles just might be the Android lovers guilty pleasure. I know I sure have a vice for them. There’s just something about the little guys that’s always caught my attention and I just had to acquire some for myself. My tiny collection is growing, but has a long ways to go to reach some of the collections out there in numbers. Android figurine collections aren’t the only thing that’s growing though, the Android Collectible itself seems to have had a growth spurt. The Dead Zebra Shop together with Andrew Bell, the artist behind the start of it all when it comes to Android Collectibles, have just introduced us to a brand new MEGA SIZE Android Collectible figure that has grown to a full 10″ tall.
If you thought it was hard enough to find room for the little ones, just wait until you bring this bad boy home. We’re sure that it won’t be met with as much negative attention as a pet might be sometimes, and they’re certainly cuter then some and make way less of a mess. They also don’t smell when wet, and they don’t leave any shed hair around the house. You don’t have to tell them to get down from the couch or off the kitchen counter, they just sit there behaving, like good little robots should. The best part is not only the size which proves to display how much of an Android lover you really are, but the capability to store stuff on the inside of the figurine, since just like the small ones the head pops off to reveal a wide open space to put just about anything that you might need to hide. This is especially useful if you work in an office where people might like to steal your snacks, or even as an unassuming place to stash you’re diamond collection. Although we might recommend a place more secure then on the inside of a collectible toy for the second one.
These new MEGA figurines seem pretty cool to us, the only that might hold some back from purchasing their own is the $69.99 price tag. At a considerable amount more than what it costs to pick up one of the regular sized figurines, you can grab a 10″ green Andy robot to have delivered, or should you feel a little crafty you can get a 10″ DIY blank collectible to begin a project, which will cost $65 instead. They haven’t popped up on the Dead Zebra shop yet, but as pointed out by Phandroid you can grab them over at the Vinyl Riot website. Both versions seem to be out of stock at the moment over there, but for those who may have gotten orders in they are listed as being shipped starting on Feb. 26th. Andrew Bell stated on his G+ post that these should be up in the Dead Zebra shop sometime soon, so make sure you bookmark the stores website and be on the lookout for when these arrive.
