Samsung finally announced the Galaxy S5 earlier today. We already confirmed that it’s making it’s way to six US carriers including T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Sprint, Verizon, AT&T and US Cellular. Now we’re seeing registration pages open up for each carrier respectively. Both T-Mobile and MetroPCS have posted their registration pages already for the Galaxy S5. We’re combining these two because they are essentially the same carrier. As T-Mobile owns MetroPCS.
Currently, neither T-Mobile, nor MetroPCS has announced availability or pricing. But like Sprint, T-Mobile has said it’ll be available in April. While AT&T hasn’t said a peep. Just that it’s coming soon. We also haven’t heard anything from Verizon just yet. The thing with these registrations, is that you’re basically signing up for the carrier to send you information about launch as we get closer to the launch date. Which you’ll probably learn from us before T-Mobile or MetroPCS. But it’s still a good idea to register, as it helps the carriers determine how many people are interested in a Galaxy S5, and they’ll know how much to order from Samsung.
If you’re interested, you can head over to MetroPCS website or T-Mobile’s website to sign up now. If you head over to MetroPCS website you’ll be automatically entered for a chance to win a free Galaxy S5 and three months of free service from MetroPCS. They are drawing one winner per week for the next five weeks. Which is a great contest to have, and a great way to get people to register for more information.
The Galaxy S5 will be available worldwide beginning April 11th, in over 150 countries. Who’s excited? How many T-Mobile and MetroPCS users out there are interested in picking up the Galaxy S5 from one of these carriers? Be sure to let us know in the comments down below.
