New Acer Iconia A1-830 Tablet For $149 Right Around The Corner

The best thing about technology, in my humble opinion, is that as the high-end develops and grows, the number of devices with decent specs and cheap prices increases.  My old Acer Iconia A-100 Tab cost me around $200 or so (it’s been a while), and it wasn’t even a fourth as powerful as my Nexus 5 I purchases for $400.  The tech world is growing very quickly, but you knew that already.  That’s why you are on this website, keeping up to date with it all.  I feel that it is important to acknowledge when a new device comes out with decent specs and it is available to the masses due to agreat price point.  The upcoming Acer Iconia A1-830 is fitting that description rather nicely, as it approaches time for its big debut.

The new Acer tab was certified by the FCC recently, which means that it will be on the market very soon.  This device features a 7.9 inch display with an 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 Clover Trail+ processor.  The screen is 1024 x 768, and with a 4000mAh battery you can expect close to seven and a half hours on a charge.  The tab also has 1GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage, with option expandable memory, something I love to see still being created.  It has your normal 802.11n Wi-Fi, along with a 5MP primary camera and a 2MP front-facing shooter, all while running Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean under the hood.  You can get all of these features for $149, which is not a bad price at all for an 8 inch tablet.  This tablet has some decent specs, and if you are looking for a good device at a decent price, this would seem a way to go.  I hesitate to recommend it as I have not used it, but based off the specs alone it seems like a great contender for the budget-tablet market.  It’s tablets like these that make me believe that Android will always have a market, and that Apple cannot take it all back.  The beauty of Android is that there are plenty of options for every price range, and that is not something that you see with Apple.  What do you think?  Will you be picking this tablet up?  Let us know in the comments!
