The news over last nights unofficial unveiling of the HTC All New One is still settling, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any mystery left with HTC’s newest flagship. It appears that a document that was just filed with the FCC seems to be for the “New One”, which seems believable since were approaching the talked about launch date coming March 25th. The launch date is still speculation of course, but all signs are pointing to that specific day as we know that HTC does have an event planned for the date in New York and London. Thanks to yesterdays surprise late night 12 minute video, which we still have up at the site due to the folks who were able to download it before it was pulled and re-post it to their own YouTube accounts, there isn’t much we don’t already know about the new phone coming from HTC. We’ve seen plenty of intricate details, like how the OIS seems to work with the camera, and how the different home screens and menus look. Still, this supposed FCC appearance makes the coming of this device that much more real.
The FCC filing shows that there are multiple models of the ALl New One, which appear to be the different variations headed to each carrier as pointed out by this lovely bloke on Twitter. The model numbers are all listed there appropriately, so once we know the model numbers with certainty we can confirm that this device is actually the New One. All the four major carriers are listed there along with an international version of the phone, so it seems at least that there will be five different variations of the device.
The FCC filing doesn’t give us much in the way of hardware specs, but we were able to pick up a few details surrounding the network and connectivity features. It seems that WLAN, NFC and Bluetooth are all mentioned, as well as the compatible network bands that the phone supports which consists of GSM 850 and 1900, WCDMA 2, 4, and 5, and finally LTE bands 4, 7, and 17. This isn’t exactly what some people hope for when it comes to details about a major device, but at least it’s something to chew on for the next few weeks.
