LG isn’t just content with offering up some high-end devices, they want to give the people shopping for devices on the lower end of the totem pole a choice to have some awesome devices as well. We know that the G3 is coming, and the G Pro 2 is on it’s way soon too. Not everyone will be able to afford these two awesome smartphones though, and LG wants to make sure they cover their bases by offering something near as equally enticing to those customers who have to spend a little bit less for a new phone. Enter the L90, LG’s solution to bringing some decent somewhat high-end features that won’t necessarily come with the high-end cost. Now the L90 will by no means replace your hunger for the newest LG flagships, this particular device is set to be aimed at the low end smartphone market.
The specs, and features are covered here, with the price and release dates coming soon says LG, so if you’re someone who wants some decent hardware in a new smartphone but don’t have the means to shell out a lot, or you just prefer to keep some of that extra cash for other things, the L90 just might be your new device. With the L90, we’re looking at(or rather you’ll be looking at if you buy one) a 4.7-inch qHD IPS display, which will be useful for viewing those photos you take with the 8MP or 5MP AF rear camera. (Camera specs are subject to market availability) The 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM aren’t cutting edge, but they’ll do just fine for the daily use of those who will be looking to probably pick this phone up, as their mobile computing needs most likely aren’t as demanding.
As for software, the L90 will be running on the latest version of Android out of the box, Android 4.4 kit Kat, which is always nice to see. Android 4.4 has been around long enough that manufacturers are more than capable of being able to implement it into unreleased devices, and it’s great that LG has taken that approach with the L90. It also has more than enough RAM to handle Kit Kat’s low end memory support. The UI has a fresh new look, and Knock Code will be present as well, which is probably one of the cooler features we’ve seen in the way of screen unlock security. For onboard storage space we’re looking at 8GB, and the front facing camera sits at 1.3MP, while the battery powering this device is 2,540mAh. The phone is said to launch soon in the Russian market, and LG expects other market releases to follow soon after. Right now there are no exact dates, and no word on price, but we should hear all of that from LG very soon.
