If you thought that you’d be waiting quite a bit longer to get your hands on the LG G3 which is the companies new flagship device, you might be wrong as LG is rumored to be launching the device before the expected release dates. With Samsung poised to release their Galaxy S 5 next month on April 11th, it sounds like LG doesn’t want to fall too far behind with rumors that we could see the phone launch by sometime this summer. If that’s true, it would give LG ample time for the hype of the Galaxy S 5 release to die down just a little bit, before they launch their flagship smartphone. This could position LG to release their major device far enough away from any other phones that might seek to steal away some of the spotlight, but still early enough that they won’t miss out on too many sales.
The sources close to the matter are saying that the phone could end up seeing the light of day in June, or even possibly in May, which isn’t too far away. So far there haven’t been any confirmations from LG about when this beast will hit store shelves and be made available to consumers, but we’re definitely excited for it. In addition to the rumors about the supposed launch date, a user on ortud that goes by the moniker of Geek, has posted some photos that they claim were taken with the LG G3 camera. “Geek” further goes on to explain that the person that took the picture is a friend that is testing the phone for a mobile carrier. If the pictures posted were indeed taken with the G3 camera, it certainly is a high quality photo and we’d like to see more.
The G3 is said to sport the same 13MP OIS camera as the G Pro 2, along with a QHD display. it’s also rumored to possibly have a 16MP camera, so we’ll just have to wait till some official word comes out about the specs. The size of the display should be around 5.25-inches, and the processor could be an octa-core with 64 capabilities.
