The All New HTC One On TELUS – $229 On A Two-Year Contract

Less than a week ago through a press release we confirmed that the “All New HTC One” would be headed to the TELUS network.  At that time there was no pricing or time frame given, but through our source we can confirm that TELUS public relation reps said the new flagship will sell for $229 with a two-year contract, but noted “these prices may change.”

The official unveiling date for this new HTC One is March 25, although by that time about the only thing we will not know about this new device will be the new Sense 6.0 user interface.  The last real ‘mystery’ was the dual cameras, and even that was let out of the bag a couple of days ago with a leaked advertisement from Telstra down in Australia about the All New HTC One on GSM Arena.  HTC is calling it a Duo Camera and it is said to give more depth to your photos.  The description reads:

“Create vivid images even in low light and professionally edit memories after you’ve taken the shot.  Choose where to focus, highlight what you love, soften the backgrounds and add 3D effects.”

Since Nokia released their popular Refocus App, now all of the new flagships have it – Samsung Galaxy S5, the Sony Xperia Z2, and the LG G Pro 2 – however, with HTC’s Duo Camera, you would think that the results would be better than the one camera the others are using.  Just remember, this is not HTC’s first attempt at using dual cameras – the old HTC Evo 3D – and we see just how well that worked.

This aluminum beauty has a 5-inch Full HD display of 1080p, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz.  It will of course run Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box with the newest Sense (6.0). The large stereo speakers with their own amplifier are still on the front at the bottom, keeping this device a step above the other smartphones in the sound department.

Please let us know on our Google+ Page if you are looking forward to getting The All New HTC One when it hits the streets or are you waiting for the other flagships from Samsung or LG to arrive first before you make a commitment.
