Rumor: One Plus One Could Show Up Tomorrow With Snapdragon 800 Processor

We could end up seeing the arrival of the One Plus One soon, you know, that device that was designed and developed with the help of the Cyanogen Inc members? Rumors are stating that it could end up getting a full monty here within the next couple days at it’s earliest. Some of us have been very eager to see what this device looks like since it was said to be rivaling the top devices. It was stated by the companies CEO Pete Lau that the device would give the iPhone a run for it’s money in the design department, but those weren’t the only promises made. Apparently the One Plus One is also going to be competitive on price and on specs. So we have a phone that was designed with the help of Cyanogen at least on the software end most likely, it’ll look as good if not better then the iPhone, have powerful competitive specs that will allow it to hang with the this years most powerful flagships, and it’ll cost under $400 unlocked. Sounds awesome right? Extremely. So awesome that it almost sounds too good to be true.

At least one thing from the those statements may end up not fulfilling it’s promise, and that’s the specs. Rumors are suggesting that the One Plus One will be powered by a snapdragon 800 processor. Seeing as how the newest and most powerful flagships this year are said to be sporting the Snapdragon 801 chip inside them, it’ll be interesting to see just how well the One Plus One will rival their specs. Although there’s nothing to suggest that the rest of the phone specs will be underwhelming compared to what else is on it’s way, if the processor doesn’t match up, we don’t know that other specs won’t end up the same. That’s not to say that the device doesn’t still sound like a fantastic phone. If you got a chance to see some of the questions to come out of the AMA yesterday on Reddit, then you may already know about some of the best features of the device. For those that didn’t get the chance to participate in the AMA, One Plus stated that unlocking the bootloader wouldn’t void warranties. So basically they’re encouraging you to root and flash custom ROMs it seems like. That is a huge plus, no pun intended. They also stated that the phone would have stereo speakers, so we should get some decent quality sound out of this thing when it arrives. The One Plus One is beginning to sound like a pretty nice phone. Is anyone as excited as I am to see what this thing looks like? On another note, what do you make of the latest ad campaign from One Plus? Here are a couple photos found on evleaks twitter page.
