Tesco Mobile Offers Smartphone and Hudl Monthly Combos
Tesco’s cheap and cheerful Hudl tablet has been selling well, and has been out of stock a number of times due to high-demand. Now, Tesco is going to try and sell even more of them through Tesco Mobile. The cheap phone network is offering a Hudl with a choice of smartphone for less than £20 a month. You can get the Galaxy Fame and a Hudl for £15 a month, or a Galaxy S III Mini and a Hudl for £17.50 a month. Neither phones are stunning, but they’re decent enough if you intend on spending a lot of time with your shiny new Hudl.
Three UK’s Customers Are Now on a 4g Tarriff – At No Extra Cost
With the rest of the UK providers finally getting onboard with 4G LTE, Three UK has pulled the trigger and transferred all of their customers onto a 4G tarriff. What?! That’s outrageous, how dare they?! Well, we would be saying that if it cost any extra, but unlike other providers Three UK is charging nothing extra for 4G service. The upside of this is that things are kept nice and simple when it comes to your bill, but the downside is that you’ll need to have a 4G-capable device in order to enjoy this gift. We’re sure if you ask Three they will let you know about your smartphone and whether or not it’s a 4G device, but we can tell you that the Nexus 5 in the UK will do the job!
Manchester United to Use Google Hangouts to Bring Everyone to The Pitch
Let’s face it, football (sorry, soccer) tickets aren’t cheap and it’s often impractical to get to the match anyway. With such a massive international following, in makes sense that Manchester United is to utilize technology from Google+ to bring fans to the stadium. Man Utd and Google will be using Hangouts to beam live reactions to the stadium’s huge display and let everyone at the match see what others around the world have to say. The first match to make use of this will be March 16th’s meeting with Liverpool. To find out how to be there – digitally, of course – you can get more information here.
Samsung UK Gives You The Opportunity to Win New Gear
Samsung is giving two lucky folks the chance to win a Galaxy S5 and a new Gear Fit wearable to go with it. The contest is available for entry on their Facebook page and entrance closes March 27th. For a lot of people – considering how expensive these things usually are – this might be their best chance to get a hold on the latest and greatest from Samsung, so have at it!
Micromax Funbook Ultra HD P580 Launches for RS 11,990
This 7.85-inch tablet from Micromax has a lot going for it, thanks to its HD-display (at 1280 x 768), a 1.2 Ghz quad-core CPU and voice-calling capabilities. All this for just RS 11,990 sounds like a pretty decent deal to us. The 3,600 mAh battery could be better, and Android 4.2.2 is getting a little old by now, but hopefully the quad-core CPU is power-efficient and that an update is on its way. As it stands though, this is a pretty decent tablet.
Water-Resistant Wickedleak Wammy Passion X Launches With Octa-Core CPU
For RS 22,990 you can get the Wammy Passion X complete with water-resistance, an Octa-Core CPU, 2GB of RAM, a Full HD display, a 13-megapixel camera and more. Doesn’t that sound great? Well it does, except that the water-resistance isn’t overly well-documented and it’s not an IP rating of 57 or 58 like Sony’s and Samsung’s latest phones, so we would be weary when going poolside with this one. However, the overall package here looks good it’s just a shame that Android 4.2.2 is at the heart of this one.
