Here we are with another review for the HTC One (M8). Don’t worry, we’re almost done with reviews of accessories and stuff for the HTC One, and then it’ll be non-stop Galaxy S5 stuff. Today, we’re looking at the Slickwraps skin for the HTC One (M8). Slickwraps sells a ton of skins for the HTC One (M8). The one that I received and reviewed is the Ebony version. Which looks really nice on the HTC One (M8), as you can see from the image above, and the images in the gallery below.
Installation is a bit more complicated than the LG G2’s skin was. but that’s due to there actually being sides to the HTC One (M8). I started with the back piece since it was the largest, and lined it up with the cameras and flash, then folded it over the sides, and it worked really well. Then there’s parts for the top and bottom of the back, as well as the top and bottom of the phone and the front. The hardest was probably the front. because of the thin strip that goes down the side. It’s pretty hard to get it lined up. Once it’s lined up, it’s easy as cake to install. I’ve been using it on the HTC One (M8) for about 4-5 days now and really like it. It feels even better than the aluminum of the HTC One. And yes, I know there are lots of jokes about how the wood feels good in hand.
The HTC One looks really good in this wood Slickwrap, in fact I’m going to buy one for my LG G2 so I can use it on my daily driver, instead of on a device I have to return pretty soon. It’s available from Slickwraps for $18.95 right now for those interested.
