Motorola Drops The Price Of The Moto X In Their Save The Date For Mom Promotion

Motorola has an upcoming sale that users may want to make a note to remember. Beginning on May 1st, Motorola will give potential buyers a chance to grab up all models of the unlocked version of the Moto X at a discounted price. That includes the 16GB and 32GB version of the unlocked GSM version, as well as the GPe Moto X. The catch is that you will only have a total of 24 hours to pick up one of these phones before the sale ends. We’ve said this before, but once this sale begins there is probably no better time to grab a Moto X. The prices start at just $299 for the 16GB model, and $349 for the 32GB model as well as the GPe version of the Moto X.

The normal cost for all three of these devices isn’t too much higher but why spend more money than you have to when a savings deal is available? The 16GB model of the Moto X would normally cost the consumer $349.99, while the 32GB and GPe models of the device would set you back $399.99. So you basically get a savings of $50 on the 16GB model and you save $75 on the other two. This particular deal seems to be in memory of the one that brought us all into this world. We’re talking about our Mom’s, as Motorola asks everybody to save the date for Mom on May 1st while the savings take place. So, this is obviously a promotion to celebrate Mother’s Day, which explains the 24 hour only sale as companies often do sales like this for one day only. The Moto X got some pretty stellar feedback from Alex who reviewed the device for our site, and two particularly awesome features that everyone seems to love about it is the Active display and touchless controls. The ability to glance at notifications as they come in without having to touch the screen and unlock the display, essentially keeping it in sleep mode is one of the better innovations that Motorola introduced, and is exactly the feature that inspired Paranoid Android to introduce the Peek feature in one of their most recent builds.

The Moto X is a shining example of what can be done with some really solid hardware and top of the line optimization to the software, even if the hardware isn’t top of the line itself. Overall the Moto X is a really solid device and this would be a terrible deal to miss. If you’re in the market for a new phone or perhaps need an idea for what to get Mom on her special day, we’d suggest listening to Motorola and saving the date.
