Verizon Wireless Rumored to be launching Four New Tablets

Here’s a rather interesting rumor here. But one that we did see coming, for the most part. According to @Evleaks, it appears that the largest carrier in the US is looking to launch four new tablets pretty soon. This includes the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 and 8.9-inch as well as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8-inch and the 10-inch version. We basically already knew that Verizon was going to be launching the 4G LTE versions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8 and 10. But what’s interesting here is selling the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX. Seeing as no carrier has ever sold their tablets before, although Amazon does sell these with compatibility to Verizon’s network. So I guess it’s not that much of a surprise.

Right now, Amazon is selling the Kindle Fire HDX 7-inch LTE for $300 and the 8.9-inch LTE version is selling for $494. Typically, Verizon does increase the price a bit on-contract. Judging by the Galaxy Note PRO and the Galaxy Note 10.1, however the LG G Pad 8.3 was cheaper on Verizon than the WiFi version is – which honestly really surprised us. We reviewed the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 inch last fall, and were pleasantly surprised by how great of a tablet it is, although it doesn’t have Google services, which is probably the biggest con on the Kindle Fire HDX tablets, unfortunately.

It seems like Verizon Wireless is looking to step up their Tablet game lately. As they’ve added quite a few to their portfolio, including the LG G Pad 8.3, Samsung Galaxy Note PRO 12.2, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition, and now we’re looking at four more coming to big red. It’s about time that Verizon started paying attention to tablets. Hopefully the other carriers do the same. How many of you would pick up the Kindle Fire HDX 7 or 8.9-inch from Verizon?
