Xiaomi Mi3S Screenshot Shows 3GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat

Xiaomi has been creating waves with its device offerings, with such a huge amount of success and ©lan that the Chinese manufacturer has been accorded the title – ‘China’s Apple’ –  a title that the company has acquired by successfully managing to create an aura of premium-ness around their offerings. Competition in the home base for these Chines manufacturers is tough, however gaining a toe-hold in the Western world is a still-more mammoth task. However, Xiaomi has been doing very well in gaining not only a foothold but in managing to differentiate their products on a global scale. As proof, the success of just last year’s Xiaomi Mi3 and this year’s Xiaomi Redmi Note devices suffices.

However, it seems that the opportune moment has come for Xiaomi to put the successful Mi3 through an upgrade cycle. We see this trend with other manufacturers wherein they release upgrades to their flagship devices every year. In the recent leaks coming in from Xiaomi’s home base China, we see a snapshot of the front of a device bearing testimony to a 2.5 GHz processor, a 3 GB RAM with Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat onboard. The snapshot allegedly belongs to the next iteration of Xiaomi’s flagship and bears the nomenclature – Xiaomi Mi3S. Though the processor is clocked at 2.5 GHz, which is pretty respectable, we have no confirmation as to its pedigree. However, if we base our speculation on the fantastic OnePlus One, we could see either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 or possibly even the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipsets.

Previous rumors of the Xiaomi Mi3S have suggested that the device will carry along 4G LTE connectivity, an 8 mega pixels (MP) front-facing secondary camera for video calls and Selfies; as well as an all new design with narrower bezels. If these rumors are correct, and do take them with a pinch of salt, the Mi3S could well be another fantastic device. However, we would keep our fingers crossed. Presently there is no confirmation as to when the device would be officially announced. What other specs would you like the Mi3S to boast of, shout it out in the comments below.
