Not Content With a 12.2-inch Tablet, Samsung Said to be Working on 13.3-inch Galaxy Tab

At 12.2-inches, the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 and Galaxy Note Pro are the two biggest Android tablets on sale today. Of course, there are large touch screen monitors purporting to be tablets from the likes of HP and Lenovo, but Samsung’s 12.2-inch machines will fit in the vast majority of laptop bags or messenger bags out there. So, Samsung have large tablets that are still quite portable. You’d think that 12.2-inches would be enough, right? Well, not for Samsung as another leak surrounding their upcoming tablets introduces us to “Warhol” a 13.3-inch Galaxy Tab that’s purported to be launching later this year.

GSMArena has been passed new information from an insider concerning Samsung’s upcoming tablets and while the 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch AMOLED tablets we already know a fair amount about, this 13.3-inch monster is certainly news to us. Spotted with the model number SM-T910, it’s listed as featuring an LCD display, rather than an AMOLED one, which is more than likely due to production issues of larger AMOLED panels. Still, using an LCD panel instead of an AMOLED one could mean this is going to join the Galaxy Tab Pro line rather than the Galaxy Tab S line which the AMOLED tablets are to form.

According to the insider, the SM-T910 is to feature the same 2560 x 1600 screen resolution as the rest of the Galaxy Tab Pro lineup. However, the piece of documentation listing the PPI that GSMArena have got doesn’t quite add up, Still, we doubt that Samsung will want to ship a 13-incher with a resolution below that, and we doubt Samsung is ready to ship displays denser than the 2560 x 1600 standard we’re enjoying now. Is a 13.3-inch Android tablet just too big? That’s what we all thought abotu the 12.2-inch, but people seem to really enjoy the extra screen space. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
