First Leaked Images of Galaxy Tab S Appear, Show off Dotted Pattern

Samsung has already launched a good number of Android tablets this year, but they’re not finished, and according to SamMobile the Galaxy Tab S line is fast approaching with what Samsung is hoping to be their “killer app”, Super AMOLED displays. A little while ago, we heard that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S Line is to come in 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch models with the best Exynos processor the company has to offer as well as LTE variants of the tablets. Since then however, we’ve heard nothing more, until now. Leaked images of the 10.5-inch variant of the Galaxy Tab S have been passed to SamMobile.

As you can see in the above image, the device looks much like any other Galaxy Tab out there, complete with Magazine UX, but the bezels on either side of the device seem pretty slim. The home button is said to be housing a fingerprint sensor, just like the Galaxy S 5 and can be used to pay for things through PayPal among other things. According to previous info, the device is running on Samsung’s latest and greatest Exynos Octa-Core CPU, which is said to be faster than those used in previous models and will even be used in the LTE versions thanks to a new modem from Intel.

Around the back of the device is where things get a little interesting, revealing a dotted pattern just like the Galaxy S5 did, albeit with what looks to be less dots. Still, the similarities between this and the Galaxy S5 aren’t lost on us and it’s clear that Samsung is looking to offer the same sort of high-end specs and features to those looking for a Samsung tablet to match their Samsung phone. With a Super AMOLED display at 2560 x 1600, this could be a tablet with one of the best displays ever made, but we’ll have to wait for Samsung to unveil this, and the 8.4-inch version, to see just what they’ve been working on.
