Lately, it seems like all the carriers have been working to improved their tablet portfolio. Verizon and T-Mobile in particular. Today, T-Mobile has announced that the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition will be hitting their magenta shelves in June. Now remember that T-Mobile is giving everyone 1.2GB of free data per month for the remainder of the year, and yes the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition is part of that deal. If you keep your device after 2014, you’ll get 200MB of free data for life. That’s 200MB of free 4G LTE data, then it’s throttled after that. Which we all hate throttled data, but when you think about it, it’s basically free unlimited data. That’s crazy.
T-Mobile is looking to bet big on tablets this year, and they are starting to bring in some of the bigger tablet names right now. Currently they only have the iPad Air, iPad mini with retina display, Galaxy Tab 3 and the Nexus 7 2013. But that’ll change this summer. The Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition is coming with its 2560×1600 resolution display, Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and huge 9000mAh battery inside. It also comes with a 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera, as well as the famous S Pen for those interested. The Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition is an amazing tablet, especially that display. I reviewed it back in November of last year, and if you missed that review, be sure to check that out.
I wonder what other tablets we’ll see land on T-Mobile’s shelves this year? Since they are looking to really push their tablet offerings in 2014, they definitely need more choices.
