T-Mobile's LG G Flex Getting KitKat OTA, Including KnockCode

Today, T-Mobile is pushing out the KitKat update to their variant of the LG G Flex. The update, obviously, brings Android 4.4 KitKat along with Knock Code. Which isn’t yet on the G2, but is coming in a separate OTA very soon. The update brings all kinds of KitKat goodies, including immersive mode, Cloud printing and so much more. What’s interesting is that T-Mobile’s website lists it as Android 4.4.3. It’s interesting because Android 4.4.3 hasn’t even been announced by Google yet. So we’ll have to wait to see what version it is when T-Mobile G Flex users get their update. For those interested, the software is build: D95920d.

The update should begin rolling out today to the LG G Flex, so if you have one on T-Mobile, it’s a good idea to start checking for it. The update should make the device a bit faster, as well as bringing better battery life. Not that the LG G Flex really needs better battery life as it’s already pretty amazing. The LG G Flex was LG’s first curved display smartphone, and it’s available on AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. Sprint just recently rolled out the update to the LG G Flex. Now we are just waiting on the AT&T variant to get it’s update, which shouldn’t take too long to happen.

For those looking to get your update on the LG G Flex, be sure to head into Settings, then tap on About device, and head into system updates to search for the update. You may not be able to pull it down right away, but it’ll probably be a staged rollout over the next few days or even weeks. So don’t get too upset if you can’t grab it.
