Pebble, the company behind the first ever smartwatch knows just that and has made a community for its smartwatch so people like us can test out their newest features and enhancements. Instead of sitting around waiting for new features to release, you can sign up for Pebbles beta test group and try out the latest from their labs.
To Join this beta experience from Pebble, you will have to join their Google group and opt into the beta test of the app via the Google Play Store. From there you will be able to download the beta version. Pebble’s latest beta is version 2.0.16-RC3. This latest beta brings in a lot of features, such as adding a new user interface for managing the connection to your Pebble watch and also adding support for automatically changing the color of the Pebble graphics based on the color of the connected device. In addition, Pebble has fixed some bugs that were included in the last beta. The fixes include a bug where the time on Pebble would not update when the phone’s time zone changed and a fix of several issues encountered by some users when pairing or connecting a Pebble. Along with these major fixes, Pebble also fixed many other bugs that plagued the device. The Pebble team noted in their Android Beta Forum that “This release contains some significant internal changes to the Pebble datalogging feature. While the API remains the same, please make sure to test your datalogging-enabled apps carefully against this release and please let us know if you encounter any issues.”
