If you’re a loyal fan and follower of the Netflix original series “Orange Is The New Black” then Netflix has the perfect app for you to download on your Android device. Why should gamers have all the fun and be the only ones to get companion apps right? OK, so it’s not really a companion app. Orange Is The New App is an app for fans of the series mostly, so if you’ve never seen the show and don’t plan on watching it there really isn’t a point to checking it out. That is unless you change your mind and decide to watch just one episode, but then end up getting sucked in like our friends on Portlandia do with Battlestar Galactica.
Some words of wisdom here though might be to avoid downloading the application if you have yet to see any parts of the second season or watch it all the way through. Comments in the reviews section on the Play Store report the app containing spoilers of the second season, and no one likes spoilers. If this doesn’t matter to you however then the app is free reign so have at it. The apps main charms are picking a card out of the selection of available options and placing your image into it like for example, being Alex’s little spoon, or adding a personalized message to a card. Once you have your selected card and have put on your own special touch you can share it with friends and family who are also fans of the show via Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, and others, or just simply send it in a text.
The app does little more than give users a small bit of satisfaction but then again, even a little satisfaction is worth it isn’t it? If this were an app revolving around Arrested Development i’d be all over it in a heartbeat. The app is free so if you enjoy Orange Is The New Black and want to share that love with those who follow you on social feeds, you can grab and download Orange Is The New App from the Play Store link here. Personally, I still find more enjoyment in the Hodor Keyboard.
