One of the most hotly anticipated devices, bearing the fabled quad-HD or ‘2K’ resolution, is now available for pre-order. Chinese manufacturer OPPO has announced that the quad-HD variant of their premium Find 7 is available on pre-order for certain countries, which includes the United States. For our US readers, the device can be pre-ordered from OPPO’s Style online store and would cost you $599 apiece, with your color choices being limited to White and Astro Black shades. OPPO has been kind enough to throw in a freebie as well for those who preorder the OPPO Find 7 – 1000 early bird buyers will get a free iLike PowerBank along with their new phone. All pre-ordered Find 7 devices will ship in ‘early July’, however no concrete dates have been provided as of yet.
The brouhaha surrounding the OPPO Find 7 is much deserved, the device packs a punch in all specifications and there is hardly anything not to like about the device. The Oppo Find 7 boasts of a 5.5 inch display which offers a 1440 x 2560 resolution which translates to an amazing 538 ppi pixel density – in marketing-speak this translates into the fabled 2K display resolution – something the Galaxy S5 nor the HTC One (M8) offer. Processing power is brought in by the quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz, while the RAM has been upgraded to the fast LPDDR3 standard and is a whopping 3GB. 32 GB of internal storage should suffice most needs, however it can expanded up to 128 GB via the MicroSD card slot, should the need arise. The 13 MP primary camera on the Find 7, thanks to some software magic, is capable of shooting images of up to 50 megapixels (MP) resolution.
