As we all know, nothing is safe from the clutches of the internet and the people who use it. Devices created by companies that tend to be kept low-key always end up on the internet and shown to you, the reader. Our recent victim that has surfaced on the web has been rumored for quite some time now. Leaked screenshots of what are claimed to be the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact have recently surfaced on the web. The rumored device is set to be revealed at IFA in Berlin this fall. Specs of the device and a screenshot were revealed on twitter by developer @Doomlord_XDA.
The specifications that are said to be included in the Xperia Z3 Compact, or also referred to as the Z3 Mini are a Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. In addition, the device will include 2GB of Ram with an Adreno 330 graphics processor. Along with the hardware the Xperia Z3 Compact/Mini will have a 20.7MP rear camera and a 2.1MP front facing camera. Other specs include a 4.5 inch screen with 720p screen resolution. From the screenshots, the alleged model number for the device is D580x. The Compact/Mini will also come running out of the box with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat with a 3.4.0 kernel.
Currently the name of the device is a toss up. The Sony Xperia Z3 could either carry Compact or Mini in the name; either way the device is a smaller version of the up and coming Xperia Z3. All of this leaked information is currently just rumors and we won’t officially know what the name of this device will be or if the specifications are correct until its release. Not much is known about the Xperia Z3 Compact/Mini other than these leaked specs. IFA in Berlin is around the corner so further news on this device will show up in a few months.
