The iBerry Auxus Linea L1 Looks like a Galaxy S5, Costs Just RS 6,990
The iBerry Auxus Linea L1 obviously has similarities to Samsung’s latest Galaxy S5, but unsurprisingly it will cost much less coming in at just RS 6,990 when it goes on sale at eBay India later this month. Of course, for that sort of price you won’t be getting much in the way of specs. However, it does feature a MediaTek quad-core CPU at 1.3 Ghz with 1GB of RAM and while the 5-megapixel camera and 4GB of expandable storage are both disappointing, this does run Android 4.4 KitKat so, there’s that. The 2,000 mAh battery is hardly impressive either, but again for less than RS 7,000 this might be your best chance to show off to your friends.
Blurry Picture of What Could be Xiaomi’s Mi4 Appears
As we saw earlier this week over at CNbeta, an image of what could be the Mi4 has appeared. However, with the poor quality of the image, we’re willing to be this isn’t an unreleased Xiaomi device. Still, rumor is saying that the device could have a larger than 5-inch display, a 16-megapixel camera and possibly a Snapdragon 805, but whatever Xiaomi release as the Mi4 will sell like crazy and more than likely be a great device.
NTT DoCoMo’s Sharp SH-04F has an 81% Screen-Device Ratio
As we covered last night, there’s a new super-slim bezel device in town, with the Sharp SH-04F on NTT DoCoMo in Japan, with a screen to device ratio of 81%. With a 5.4-inch 1080p IGZO display and a Snapdragon 801 CPU with 2GB of RAM, this KitKat device for Japan is a great-looking smartphone with some seriously slim bezels. It’s a shame that Sharp will probably never launch this device elsewhere, but for those of you in Japan, this is an excellent device to get if you want to wage war on bezels.
50,000 MiPads Were Sold by Xiaomi in a Matter of Minutes
In roughly four minutes, Xiaomi managed to sell 50,000 units of their new MiPad, instantly selling out of their first Android tablet. If you’re unfamiliar with the MiPad, it’s the company’s first tablet and features a new build of MIUI for the 8.9-inch 2048 x 1440 display and it’s powered by Nvidia’s excellent Tegra K1 processor which should help deliver some of the best performance out there. Unfortunately, it looks like the MiPad is out of stock for the foreseeable future, but we’re pretty sure Xiaomi has more than 50,000 of these lying around.
Samsung’s Gear Live Now Available to Purchase in India
The G Watch has been available to order from India’s Play Store for quite some time, and now the Gear Live is joining it. Available to order for RS 15,900 it’s a little more expensive than the G Watch’s RS 14,999 price tag, but the slightly higher resolution display and Super AMOLED display technology should make up for the extra cost. We recently reviewed the Gear Live here and more coverage on the G Watch will be coming soon.
Galaxy Tab S Now Available to Pre-Order in India
Both the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and 10.5 are now available to pre-order in India. Of course, with all of the extra features Samsung has packed into their latest and greatest they aren’t cheap. The 8.4-inch version will cost RS 37,800 and the 10.5-inch will cost 44,800, which is a lot for either tablet, but with 2560 x 1600 Super AMOLED displays and blazing performance – not to mention the fingerprint sensor – that price tag might be worth it to you.
