If you are in the market for a new flagship device at a terrific price, look no further than Rogers, TELUS or Bell – they are currently offering the HTC One M8, the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Apple iPhone 5s (16GB) for only $100 with a two-year agreement. To sweeten the deal even more, the brand new LG G3 is only $79.99 for a limited time only on Rogers. A deal like this is unheard of for devices of this caliber, so if you are even remotely thinking about purchasing a new phone or upgrading, now is the best time to go shopping.
Just a refresher on these fine phones – the HTC One M8 is a beautiful and sexy device with all aluminum construction. It sports a 5-inch Full HD display which means it has a 1920 x 1080 resolution and 441 pixels-per-inch (ppi). Processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800/801 quad-core clocked at 2.3GHz with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card for 128GB of additional storage. It has a 4MP UltraPixel Duo camera for special effects and a 5MP front-facing camera (FFC) for video chats and selfies. Power is from a 2600mAh non-removable battery.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a 5.1-inch Full HD Display, using their Super AMOLED technology. It uses the true Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be increased by 128GB via a microSD card. The new camera is a 16MP shooter with Samsung’s ISOCELL technology to help with shots in lower light and a 2MP FFC for video chatting and selfies. A 2800mAh battery powers this beast of a phone.
We do not normally cover the iPhone, but it is part of the sale so we will run by a few specs – its 4-inch display has a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels, with an A7 dual-core ARM v8 clocked at 1.3GHz. It has 1GB of RAM and comes in 16GB/32GB/64GB models with no expansion possible. Its camera is only a 8MP with dual-LED flash, but it is still one of the best picture takers out there and the 1.2MP FFC for video chatting and selfies. It is powered by a 1560mAh battery and runs iOS7 rather than the Android 4.4KitKat the others use.
