Alleged Samsung Galaxy Alpha Poses In White, Multiple Screen Sizes Rumored

There’s been talk that Samsung will launch a device made out of premium materials for a long time now. That never happened and a while ago Galaxy F rumors started. After some time leaks started shaping up a bit and the device got a new (code)name, Galaxy Alpha. Along with the name change we got a bunch of leaked specifications and a few images, courtesy of SamMobile. Many people were sceptical when it comes to existence of this device primarily because that’s Samsung and they don’t tend to release metallic phones. I believe many of them changed their mind after senior vice-president of Samsung Mobile Kim Hyun-joon said that Samsung is going to release a model made out of “new materials” this year.

Latest specification rumors say that the device will sport Samsung’s very own Exynos 5433 octa-core chip along with Mali-T628 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Internal storage is expected to be 32GB (expandable via MicroSD card), while it is expected to have an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 2.1MP shooter up front. The most credible information we have thus far is that its screen will be 72op (1280 x 720) in resolution and will measure 4.7 or 4.8″ (Galaxy S3 panel maybe?), at least that’s what Samsung Developer Console says.

The device is expected to launch either later today or August 13, 2 leaks collide one with the other. In light of that, we have some new images to show you. Alleged Galaxy Alpha device leaks yet again, this time in white. These model on these images looks slightly different than the one we’ve seen SamMobile deliver, look at the edges and how different they look here. It is possible they decided to release 2 slightly different models, one for white and one for black color. Both models look rather similar to the Galaxy S2, which was an extremely successful device which came from Samsung’s workshop. I actually used it for a long time and it was great.

The other part of the leak says that Samsung will offer 2 models of the Galaxy Alpha device, 4.7″ and 6.7″ ones. If that’s true Samsung won’t use the S3 4.8″ panel but a slightly different 720p 4.7″ panel and we’ll also get another phablet from Samsung, next to the Note of course. You can check out the images below and as for the launch, we’ll report on it either later today or on August 13, whenever Samsung decides to launch the device(s), stay tuned.
