Alleged Specifications For Verizon's Motorola Droid Turbo Smartphone Surface

Motorola’s on a roll lately. We’ve seen company announce their Moto X, Moto G and Moto 360 event for September 4th and now we have some info to share with you regarding a Motorola-made smartphone which has nothing to do with the Moto line it seems. Android Authority reports that an anonymous source has sent them an alleged screenshots of an upcoming Motorola device. This smartphone is reportedly on the way to Verizon and will be called Droid Turbo, its specifications are somewhat impressive. According to the screenshots from the report, this device will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.65GHz along with 3GB of RAM and an Adreno 420 GPU which will handle graphics performance. The display mentioned is actually a 2K one, 2560 x 1440 in resolution and by calculating the available data we get a 4.59-inch display size. If you think about it, this is kind of absurd considering the resolution, but it seems there are already displays out there which are capable of cramming 2K resolutions and so many pixels on such small screens. 32GB of internal will allegedly be inside this device with no mention of a MicroSD card slot. Latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat is mentioned as well as a 20-megapixel rear-facing and 2-megapixel front-facing cameras.

As you can see these specifications are through the roof. Another thing to note here is that the mentioned model number is XT1254, we’ve already seen the “XT” part which represented the Droid Razr line models in the past. If you add this up to the fact that Verizon is also mentioned in the screenshot, it’s logical to assume that this will be a new Droid Razr model. This device is also listed on Bluetooth SIG by the way. This is a rather odd rumor, report, whatever you want to call this thing. If this pans out in the end Verizon will have an extremely powerful Motorola Droid device on their hands, though we’re not sure what to believe here. While we wait for more information when it comes to this device we can look forward to Motorola’s IFA event on September 4th where the former Google company will showcase their new Moto X and G smartphones along the Moto 360 smartwatch. This has been a long time coming and I’m sure many of you are eager to see what Motorola has up their sleeve.
