European Galaxy S5 LTE-A with Snapdragon 805 Could be On Its Way

Samsung is all over the news lately. They announced their premium built device in a form of Galaxy Alpha recently and finally put to rest all those rumors that were coming in prior to the launch. I can’t stress enough the amount of rumors we’ve shared with you in the past weeks/months. Luckily we won’t be seeing any more rumors when it comes to the Galaxy Alpha handset, but it didn’t take long for another Samsung smartphone to get into the spotlight. A small part of Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A’s manual leaked on its way to Europe (image above).

That very same device got benchmarked recently and along with that we found out lots of device’s specifications. It is worth noting that the Korean variant of the device was announced first, sporting a QHD 2560 x 1440 display which the European variant won’t be carrying it seems. European Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A (download speeds up to 300 Mbps) version is expected to sport a Snapdragon 805 processor in order to sport such a fast internet connection. The aforementioned QHD display won’t be a part of the package. This variant of the device is expected to sport a 5.2″ Full-HD 1080 (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED panel along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card). The device is expected to carry the same camera S5 is sporting on the back, 16MP ISOCELL sensor and a 2MP shooter on the front of the device. Adreno 420 GPU will probably be there to take care off the graphics performance with the Android 4.4.4 KitKat running the whole thing.

Samsung’s “Unpacked” event will be held on September 3rd at IFA in Berlin. The Galaxy Note 4 is almost certain to make an appearance there and it seems we could also see this device alongside Samsung’s phablet there, it would be a perfect setup considering IFA is being held in Germany which is also one of the markets Samsung will target when launching this device. On the other hand they might announce it separately, we’ll find out soon either way though. The pricing of the device is still unknown of course, we’ll have to wait for the official announcement or some additional unofficial info.
