The Fabled HTC Nexus Tablet Rumored To Hit By October 9th This Fall

Some of us may still be using the 2013 Nexus 7 tablet or another tablet from a different OEM and a non-stock version of Android, but if you were interested in last year’s Nexus 7 coming officially from Google though a Play Store purchase you’ll unfortunately be out of luck. The Nexus 7 is now currently listed as out of stock, and they aren’t likely to come back, especially if we have a new Nexus tablet on the way. As one would have it, a leak posted up to twitter yesterday from @upleaks states that we’ll see the HTC Nexus tablet before October 9th, which might be earlier than some were expecting it to be released.

Take this with a tiny grain of salt as you should with all leaks, but upleaks has leaked some stuff that ended up being true before so there is a possibility we could see the next Nexus tablet soon. If it does end up with a launch around October 9th, that would explain the inability to purchase last years tablets due to the out of stock listings which Google seems to have made the decision no to re-stock, and it would be here just in time for the holiday season making it readily available for anyone that might be eyeballing it for a nice little Christmas gift. The HTC Nexus tablet itself is still also just a rumor as Google hasn’t confirmed anything about it yet, but it’s a good bet that HTC is behind the next tablet version.

Although there is no evidence to really suggest the launch of a Nexus phone around the same time, it sure would be nice to see a new Nexus phone and tablet launched on or around the same date, along with the release of Android L, the next big version upgrade to Google’s OS that we all love so dearly. There had been plenty of rumors in the past that we would no longer be seeing any Nexus phones going forward and it has been looking more and more likely that we in fact will see the continuation of the stock android favorite. The rumored HTC Nexus tablet is said to be coming with a 9-inch display with a  2560 x 1600 resolution, and that it will be powered by an Nvidia Tegra K1 processor. It is also rumored to be encase in a metal unibody design, which may end up causing the device to cost a little more. If this gets an October 9th launch date or a launch just prior to October 9th, will you be grabbing one?
