Flipkart To Exclusively Offer Galaxy S5 Mini In India

Samsung’s Galaxy S5 isn’t exactly a new device, but it is not available in India just yet. Flipkart announced on its official Facebook page that it will sell this device exclusively in India, though they didn’t mention when will it be available nor did they talk about its pricing. This is actually a really great exclusive for Flipkart, considering Galaxy S5 Mini will surely bring in a lot of attention their way. Flipkart already had exclusives before, though they never managed to snatch an exclusive on a Samsung device. As you might recall, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note and Motorola’s Moto G were Flipkart’s exclusive in the past.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini Duos (SM-G800H) will probably be the model Flipkart will sell. This is basically a dual SIM model of the Galaxy S5 Mini. The device sports a 4.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED display along with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable via MicroSD card up to 64GB. Samsung’s Exynos 3 Quad 3470 clocked at 1.4GHz is the SoC of choice here along with the Mali-400MP4 GPU. On the back of the device you can find an 8-megapixel camera while there’s a 2.1-megapixel shooter located on the front. The device comes with 2,100mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, though there’s Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of it of course. Fingerprint and heart rate sensors are also a part of the package as well as IP67 certification for dust and water resistance.

Flipkart isn’t the only store that had a Samsung exclusive in India, Amazon managed to get exclusive rights to Galaxy K Zoom in the past. Galaxy K Zoom isn’t exactly a mainstream device, regular consumers don’t exactly buy it, Galaxy S5 Mini is a whole different story though. I have no doubt this device will bring a lot of customers to Flipkart as soon as they start selling the thing, which should occur in the following days considering they already announced it, I’m only guessing though. Any Indian readers out there interesting in this device?
