We’ve seen some leaks of Lenovo’s latest phablet, the Vibe Z2 Pro, and now it’s official. Early this morning, Lenovo announced the Vibe Z2 Pro, which is the successor to the Vibe Z1 – obviously. It’s got quite the spec sheet as well. Including a 6-inch 2560×1440 resolution IPS display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset (MSM8974AC) with a 2.5GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU, 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU, 32GB of internal storage without a microSD card slot. There is also a 16MP camera with OIS, dual LED flash and 4K shooting capabilities. It is a dual-SIM device (two micro SIM cards), which is really popular over in Asia, where Lenovo sells their phones. Additionally it weighs in at about 179g, and has dimensions of 156 x 81.3 Ñ… 7.7mm. And it also has a 4,000mAh battery. Yes that’s four thousand, mAh. Which with the size of this display and the amount of pixels it’s pushing, you’re going to need a battery that sized. Although the LG G3 does just fine with a 3,000mAh battery.
Lenovo will have the Vibe Z2 Pro available in Russia in September, and other markets – where they already sell smartphones – in the weeks to follow. It’ll be available in black, gold and white and will be priced at about RUB 29,900, which translates to about $834 USD. It’s definitely a nice looking, metal phone. But it’s hard to get too excited about it here in the US, as we know it won’t make it over here. At least not until the Motorola sale is complete, then we might start seeing some of Lenovo’s devices make their way into the US. And with phones like the Vibe Z and Vibe Z2 Pro, they are definitely going to sell well over here. Lenovo and Motorola already have the brand recognition. How many of you are drooling over this Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro?
