LG G3 S/LG G3 Beat Going to Sprint as LG G3 Vigor

My LG Phones announced today that the LG LS885 model, also known as the G3 S and G3 Beat, is going to arrive on Sprint’s network as the LG G3 Vigor – you got that straight?  They were able to retain a copy of the Sprint’s Get Started Guide (see below) along with details of its specs…the same ones as the other two models, or should say names since they are all three model LS885.

The LG G3 Vigor is a mid-range device and comes with a 5-inch IPS LCD HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 with 294 pixels-per-inch (ppi).  It is sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage; however, it does have a microSD card slot for an additional 32GB of storage for all of your photos and music.  The main camera is 8MP with LED flash and laser autofocus and the G3 Vigor also comes equipped with a 1.3MP front-facing camera (ffc) for video chatting or taking selfies.  It has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and A2Dp, NFC, a microUSB v2.0 and HSPA+ and LTE.  The device is powered by a 2540mAh battery and is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box with LG’s latest UX – just like the LG G3.  It measures 137.7 x 69.6 x 10.3 mm and weighs in at 134 grams.

These LG G3 series of clones is an interesting marketing strategy – the customer gets the look and feel of the flagship G3, but lower specs and a lower cost.  I would not expect the fastest or smoothest performance from the LG G3 Vigor – G3 Beat – G3 Stylus group of devices, but it should be a satisfying experience for the money. There has been no official announcement from Sprint as to the exact price or date you will be able to purchase the LG G3 Vigor and it should be available in Titan Black and Red.  Hook up with us on our Google+ Page and let us know if you are looking forward to purchasing a ‘G3-like’ device for a lot less money on the Sprint network…as always, we would love to hear from you.
