Panasonic Introduces Three New Qi Chargers For Portable And Wireless Charging

Wireless charging is still not quite where it needs to be in becoming a mainstay and standard across many OEMs and devices, but it’s getting there and Panasonic is doing their part to further advance the success of wireless charging using the Qi standard. Panasonic yesterday announced a selection of three new Qi wireless charging products capable of helping users take their charging abilities on the go. These three new wireless charging devices are portable and small so you can pack them in pretty much anything and get your devices juiced up anytime you need to. The first two products are essentially mobile battery packs that can charge your phone or tablet, and the third is a new wireless charging pad, and all three are utilizing the Qi standard.

The first is the actual wireless charging pad, meant to charge products wirelessly that have the Qi standard built in. So if you have any mobile phones or tablets in the home that can support the Qi wireless standard you can simply set one down on the pad and walk away, no cable needed except for the one plugged into the pad itself. The mobile charging pad(model QE-TS101W) will set users back $39.99 although you can find them on Amazon for a tad bit less. In fact you can actually find all three of these devices on Amazon, which is good news for Prime members.

The second device is Panasonic’s new mobile battery pack for smartphones and tablets(model QE-PL202W)which allows you to charge just one device using the built in cable although it is meant for refueling the pack itself via USB, or you can charge two devices at one using the dual USB inputs, found by removing the end piece of the pack that carries the microUSB plug on it. The pack does not charge things wirelessly, however you can charge the pack up wirelessly on the compatible Qi charging pad listed above. The Qi battery pack for smartphones and tablets holds a 5,300 mAh battery on the inside for charging up your devices. The last product that Panasonic launched yesterday among these Qi chargers is a smaller mobile charging pack for mobile devices(model QE-PL102W)that houses a smaller 2,650 mAh battery inside. You can also charge this battery pack via the Qi wireless charging pad listed above, however just like the first battery pack with a higher capacity it does not charge your devices wirelessly, but rather through microUSB plugs. The larger battery pack retails for $49.99 while both the smaller pack and the Qi wireless charging pad retail for $39.99 according to the Panasonic website.
