Galaxy Note 4 launch is near, it is expected to launch on September 3rd considering Samsung already scheduled its “Unpacked” event and teased us with “note the date” tagline. We’ve seen alleged packaging of the Note 4 earlier today and now we have some fresh images which reportedly show us Samsung’s upcoming phablet.
These images have been sent to GSMArena by an anonymous tipster. The device from the pictures looks to be more square-shaped than the Note 3 and it looks really good in my honest opinion. There’s not much to see on the front while on the back it sports a textured pattern, most probably plastic. There’s a camera on the back of the device as well of course and next to it you can see a heart rate monitor, or at least something that looks like it. S Pen is located on the bottom rear side of the phone while the speaker grill and a USB 3.0 port are located at the bottom of the device. What seems most interesting here are those sides of the phone, which seem to be metal. It is of course possible we’re talking plastic here, but I’ve been looking closely to these pictures and I just can’t seem to shake the feeling that is in fact metal. Chamfered edges seem to be present here as well as the upcoming Galaxy Alpha device and the bottom part (around the USB port) has a specific design to it. I might be wrong of course, but the edges seem way too similar to the leaked images of Galaxy Alpha device and by sheer looking at these images they look like metal. Many people probably wouldn’t mind a plastic trim around the device, but it would be nice to get some fresh material on there which would make at least part of the device metal.
According to previous rumors the device is expected to sport a 5.7″ QHD (2560 x 1440) screen. As mentioned above, the device is almost surely going to launch on September 3rd. We’ll probably get more information by then, if not, that’s when you’ll be able to find out everything about the device. We’ll let you know as soon as we find out more information.
