Sony's Xperia Z3 Shows Up In More Recent Leaks With Clear Picture And Specs

IFA is approaching, and while we wait to see if Sony has anything in regards to the Xperia Z3 to share with us their event to be held during the conference, we can chew on some fat with these latest leaked images of the Xperia Z3 that have passed through the Tenaa website today. The images are fairly decent quality and while not quite Full HD, they are high resolution enough to make out the details of the device and the design. The leaked images have shown off the Xperia Z3 in both black and white, so if these are actual shots of the Z3 in its final state we have seen two of the three colors of the device at this point.

Some obvious notes about these images show that the design has taken a slight detour from the last couple of devices, with what appears like more rounded sides and top/bottom on the frame of the device. This is only a slight change as the overall design still looks fairly similar to the Z1 and Z2 on the face and rear, just without the more flat surface frame of the sides of those two devices. Camera and LED flash placement also seem to be in the exact same spot which is the top left corner of the rear. What might be different in this model is that it appears to possibly have dual front facing speakers on the top and bottom of the display. It looks like the one on top could be the audio earpiece for voice calls, but that wouldn’t explain what looks like another audio speaker on the bottom.

The images aren’t the only thing that leaked via Tenaa today, as the specs for the device seem to have been listed with it. The specs sheet details also list a third color which we don’t see from the images, which is amber. Also according to the specifications details listed at the source, the Xperia Z3 will come with 16GB of storage and 3GB of RAM, and what would seem to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU, although it only seems to list the CPU frequency which is 2.5GHz. Thanks to the knowledge of the CPU in the Xperia Z2 however, the 801 is the most likely case. It also lists the boasted weight of 154.8 g, and dimensions of 146.5 — 72.4 — 7.35 (mm) which makes it a little lighter and a little thinner than the Z2, but not by much. The screen is listed as a 5.2-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and it’ll be running Android 4.4 out of the box. Now that we seem to have finally gotten a good look at the eXperia Z3, are you fond of the slightly different design or is it still too similar to the past couple of flagships.
