Use This Simple Technique To Avoid Downloading Facebook's Messenger App

If you are an avid facebook user, then you have noticed that facebook has recently removed their messaging service from within their mobile app. The change has forced many of us who use facebook to message friends and colleagues, download a separate app called “Messenger” to send and receive facebook messages. The change has upsetted many facebook users due to the fact that for a long time now we have been able to message people inside the app for years. Facebook has practically forced many of its loyal users to download a separate app that has been part of facebook this whole time. The change sounds a little backwards but this is what facebook wishes to do.

The separate app that facebook is forcing their users to download has been around for quite some time now. The social network has been advertising Messenger heavily inside their app for a long time now. Since the removal of their messaging service from within their app, when you click on the messaging icon, you are directed to install Messenger. Its pretty upsetting, I mean if you go through the app reviews, you can see how angry people are about the change. But when change strikes, we always find a way to revert back to how things used to be and today I will share with you a simple technique on how you can avoid downloading facebooks separate app for messaging.

Now when I mean simple, the technique is simple. All you need to do is go to facebook.com on your browser of choice. Once logged in, you will still see the loads and loads of advertisements for the Messenger app, but since you are on using the browser on your smartphone, you will have access to messaging on facebooks mobile site. It may seem a little foreign at first opening your browser just to message someone since most of us are used to going straight to the facebook app — or now the Messenger app. But in the long run, you won’t have to download two apps and get to save a ton of space on your phone. Go try it and let us know what you think. If you aren’t to fond of the “extra” work, you can start a petition to bring back the old messaging app. I’m sure we’ll all sign it.
