A couple of weeks ago, we did an article that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was on its way to Canada, landing on several carriers – Telus, Koodo, Rogers, SaskTel, Wind Mobile and Videotron. Roger’s has been accepting pre-orders, or ‘reservations’ for the Galaxy Note 4 for a mere $40 deposit and they will guarantee you a Note 4 on launch day…hopefully sometime in early to mid-October, but it may not be until the latter part. A tipster from our source sent a picture of the ad below showing that you can also pre-order your Galaxy Note 4 at big box retailers Best Buy and Future Shop where it will cost you $50 to hold one for Rogers, Bell or Telus. There is no official release date in the flyer, but the mid-late October it should arrive.
The new Galaxy Note 4 took the Note 3 and improved it in all areas – not revolutionary by any means, but new from the outside in. Samsung has used a new full metal frame, with sculptured edges to absorb impact if dropped. They kept the faux leather looking removable back, but did away with the faux stitching – personally, on the black model, I thought it looked very nice…the white, not so much.
Samsung finally upped the display to QHD, which means a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels that translates to 515 pixels-per-inch (PPI). The processor is the best one out there, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz, backed by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The Note 4 also has a microSD card for adding additional storage of up to 128GB. The camera was improved from 13MP to 16MP and they added Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and the front-facing camera (FFC) was increased to a 3.7MP wide-angle to capture a wider picture for a video chat or group selfie.
The Note series comes with the S-Pen and all of its available software – they doubled the pen sensitivity to make the writing experience as close as possible to actual writing with a pen and paper. It also comes with a new fingerprint scanner, heart rate sensor, UV sensor and Oxygen Saturation monitor. Please hit us up on our Google+ Page and let us know if you will be pre-ordering the new Note 4…as always, we would love to hear from you.
