dbrand Announces dbrand Glass for the HTC One M8, LG G3, and Nexus 5

This morning, dbrand informed us that they know have their own tempered glass screen protectors available for the HTC One M8, LG G3, and the Nexus 5. These are known as “dbrand Glass”. It’s made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 “With a name like Gorilla® Glass, you can trust that our product is quality. A hardness rating of 9H means dbrand glass is 5x stronger than regular glass and second to only diamonds. Thinking about putting a knife to your dbrand glass? Go ahead.” So it’s going to be nice and tough and should keep any scratches from coming to your device. It’s also ultra-thin and has tapered edges. dbrand’s tagline for these new screen protectors is “Take a knife to your screen. We encourage it.” It also has an Oleophobic coating. Basically what that means is that it’s smoother than glass. So that weird feeling you get when you use a smartphone with a screen protector, it won’t exist with dbrand Glass, which is the biggest thing that turns me off of screen protectors.

dbrand also informed us that these Tempered Glass Screen Protectors were the final product of 9 months of R&D. So they’ve been tested quite a bit – perhaps more than the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus? It’ll cost you $30 for the LG G3, HTC One M8 or the Nexus 5 dbrand Glass. They should be available to order today, and they are offering free shipping from now until October 1st. So you’ve only got a few days to order.

These are great screen protectors, and they are available for only three devices right now. That will most likely change in the very near future though. As these are the first products of dbrand Glass, there may be some kinks, but knowing dbrand, most likely there won’t be. How many of you are throwing money at the screen already?
