Finally we have the Moto 360 in hand and we also have the charger. Which has been a big point of interest, surprisingly. As most of us would just think of it as a charger, others are thinking of it as something more, mostly because each smartwatch has a different charger or cradle. For instance, I have both the LG G Watch and the Moto 360 right now and I have two different chargers since they aren’t interchangeable, and that sucks. We’re hoping that something like the Moto 360’s charging will become a standard. Which is Qi Wireless Charging.
The Moto 360’s charger is the best one yet for a smartwatch. And that’s the fact that you can put the Moto 360 down into it’s charger any way you want. Which is brilliant. Instead of making sure the pogo pins are lined up correctly for both the Samsung Gear Live and the LG G Watch. It makes charging the Moto 360 easier than ever before. Not that the LG G Watch and the Gear Live were really difficult, but you get the point.
Another thing I like about the Moto 360 charger is the fact that you can see how it’s doing without pulling down the top of the smartwatch, like you would on the LG G Watch and the Gear Live. So you can see the blue ring on the display showing how close it is to 100% without even touching it. It also shows the time and the percentage of battery it has. Which is also really nice to have.
