We’ve seen plenty leaks when it comes to Meizu’s smartphone offerings. Meizu MX4 and MX4 Pro have been leaked a lot in the past few weeks along with Meizu’s very own Flyme 4.0 OS which is due to arrive pre-installed on these devices. Now we have some more leaks on both of these devices coming straight from China.
The device posing in the image above is allegedly Meizu MX4. This actually goes hand in hand with the previous rumors, the device is sporting those beautifully thin bezels we’ve talked about before. MX4 is expected to sport a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display and 3GB of RAM. Samsung’s Exynos 5430 64-bit octa-core processor (four 1.8GHz’s Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz’s Cortex-A7 cores) is expected to power this thing with Mali-T628MP6 GPU included for graphics performance. 20.7-megapixel (Sony’s sensor) camera is expected to be this device’s main shooter. According to the leak, this device should be priced at 1999 Yuan which is around $325. This actually seems rather affordable for a device like this.
MX4 Pro on the other hand is a bigger version of the device, some would even say higher-end version, which I guess is true. This device is expected to have a larger screen on board which will allegedly be 2K in resolution, according to the rumors it will also sport a slightly stronger CPU (Exynos 5433). According to this leak, MX4 Pro will feature a 5.4-inch 2K display by Sharp along with 3GB of RAM and a 20.7-megapixel camera (like its smaller brother). The device will reportedly come with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed running Flyme 4.0 OS on top of it and will support fingerprint scanner. If this report is to be believed, MX4 Pro will cost 2999 Yuan which comes to $488, this device will be significantly more expensive than the MX4. I guess that is to be expected due to a 2K screen, stronger processor and a fingerprint scanner. There have been some rumors this device might face delays because they wanted to alter its design before releasing it.
Meizu will hold its press event on September 2nd (tomorrow) where they’re expected to unveil at least one of these two devices, as soon as we find out more we’ll let you know.
