Moto X+1 Video Leaks Bringing Along Details About The Device Itself

We’ve seen many leaks of the upcoming Moto X+1 smartphone. From leaked images of the device and the possible specifications to some “out there” rumors which will probably not going to pan out. Some of those leaks were provided by TK Tech News and the leaker is at it yet again, this time he shared some information about the device itself via a video on YouTube which contains several images of the device as well.

This video is about four and a half minutes long, we’ve included it below the article in case you want to check it out. The leaker first brought up an image of the back side of this device, showing us up close the camera, the tube that goes around it and Motorola’s logo below it. According to the leaker, the tube around the device is indeed Moto X+1’s flash, as it was to be expected considering there’s no flash on the sides or below the camera. So the whole thing will light up when you take a picture or use the thing as a flashlight. It turns out the logo below the camera is also a power button, there were some rumors when it comes to this mainly due to its size but majority of people didn’t exactly think there’s any functionality to this logo. According to leaker’s sources that is indeed a power button which will be customizable via Moto Maker, which was to be expected considering we’ve seen it leaked in various color combinations.

That silver trim around the device is supposedly aluminum, that is at least what the leaker claims it to be. The back side of the device in the video is made of bamboo, in case anyone’s interested. There was also some talk about the front side of the device and those sensors in every corner of the device. Those sensors are allegedly related to the “Moto” icon on the phone’s display, which is reportedly a “Moto Aware” app. TK Tech News says that he has mixed reports on the sensors, but they could probably provide a similar 3D effect to Amazon’s Fire Phone. The leaker also said that he’s able to confirm Moto X+1 build materials, Aluminum frame, Wood, Plastic, Leather, Denim and Carbon Fiber will be available. Though according to the leak Carbon Fiber option might be Verizon’s exclusive for the holidays.

Motorola will hold its press event in Chicago on September 4th. We’ll see this device unveiled there while Moto G2 and Moto 360 smartwatch are also going to make an appearance. This event is only a couple of days away, so stay tuned.
