Motorola Moto X (2014) Information:
Motorola took one of the most beloved and surprising smartphones of 2013 and made it better in every way – more refined and with higher specs, while keeping a sensible price. The Moto X is Motorola's flagship phone and this year the specifications are included to back up that designation. The new Moto X is larger, includes a metal frame for strength, but still retains the curved back that remains comfortable in your hands and quite beautiful with either an optional wood or leather back.
Motorola increased the display to 5.2-inches and made it a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080p with 423 pixels-per-inch (PPI) – they use the AMOLED technology for a rich saturation of colors. Motorola chose the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB (on-line only) of internal storage…there is no room for expansion. A 2300mAh non-removable battery powers the new Moto X – many were hoping for something larger, but with Motorola Turbo Charger, a $34.99 accessory, you can give your new Moto X a quick 15-minute charge to get up to 8 hours of usage.
Motorola finally included a decent 13MP main camera with auto focus and a dual-LED 'Ring Flash,' where the flash actually encompasses the camera lens. It also has a 2MP front-facing camera (FFC) for video chatting and selfies. The technology side of Motorola is showcased in the new Moto X – they included four microphones to cancel extraneous noise for phone calls and includes Dynamic Tuning, where the antenna reception adjusts depending where you hold the phone. The new Moto X also includes new and improved Moto Assist, Actions, Voice, Display, Meetings, Motorola Connect and Migrate.

Motorola Moto X (2014) Editor Rating:
The new Moto X is worth your money and would make a great smartphone for your main driver. It is well-built and beautiful, high-end, processes great engineering and is competitively priced. With a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, you cannot go wrong. Motorola is using the pure form of Android 4.4.4 KitKat and the hardware and software are optimized to run very fast and buttery smooth…and you can expect any software upgrades almost as fast as the Google Nexus products.
