Niantic Labs Launches "Ingress Obsessed" Season Two Premiere

A few days ago Niantic Labs released a teaser trailer of the upcoming season of the popular game based web series, Ingress Obsessed. The web series focuses on the missions and adventures of various teams from both the enlightened and resistance factions within the Ingress universe, but also takes a main focus on two agent sisters who play the game, and chronicles their adventures. Ingress Obsessed Season 2 has premiered and the first episode of the season is now live. The entire new season will bring tons of new epic missions for players and fans alike to watch, and the operations this time around jump off in St. Louis. Many of you may already know what Ingress is at this point, but for the few uninitiated Ingress is an augmented reality game from Google’s Niantic Labs, with two opposing factions that are fighting each other for total global control.

The first episode follows Rebecca B(rbfly) and a local team from the area of St. Louis as they attempt probably one of their biggest missions yet, to capture the entire city of St. Louis and blanket it in fields of blue. Episode 1, called River City Blues, is now live and we have the episode posted for you below. It’s short but sweet and lasts about seven and a half minutes. It’s also a part 1 of several missions that will take place and span over the entire second season of the show, just like season one did with the transatlantic Florida and Southern California missions.

If you have never played Ingress before now is a great time to start, and if you like what you see with the Ingress Obsessed Season 2 premiere, all of the other episodes from Season 1 are available up on the official YouTube channel for your viewing pleasure. On an unrelated note, if you already play Ingress, are you obsessed with the game so much that you find yourself trying to hack things that can’t be hacked? As a local player trying to climb the ranks and level to max, I find myself doing this more often now. Have any comments to share on epic missions of your own? You know where to post them.
