Samsung Galaxy Alpha Available At AT&T Today From $199.99

Attention all Samsung lovers. It was announced a few days ago that Samsung’s other new device, the Galaxy Alpha will be hitting AT&T stores on September 26th. In case you haven’t checked your calendar the 26th is finally upon us and those interested can now head out to AT&T and pick up the new Galaxy Alpha. If you need a quick recap on what’s on offer then the Alpha comes with a 4.7″ Super AMOLED HD display. Inside, the device is loaded with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 2 GB RAM. In terms of storage the device offers 32 GB internal storage and a standard microSD card slot. If cameras are your thing then you will want to know that the rear camera is a 12 MP camera (with 4x optical zoom) while the front offers a 2.1 MP camera. Additional features worth noting are the Samsung fingerprint scanner and the Samsung S Health Application (fitness tracker app). The battery is somewhat limited (for the price of the device) offering an 1,860 mAh battery. As to be expected with Samsung, the device will come running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

The Alpha is available with AT&T on a 2 year contract with a deposit of $199.99. The device is also being offered as part of their AT&T Next Instalment plan which allows customers to trade in their old smartphone and not worry about the upfront deposit. To take advantage of this plan your current plan will need to show that you have already made at least 12 (Next 12) or 18 (Next 18) monthly payments to get the discount. Those interested in this offer will have to pay $30.65 a month on the Next 12 tariff and $25.55 on the Next 18 plan. If you are not interested in a plan with AT&T and simply just want to buy the device then you can grab the Alpha off-contract for $612.99 + tax

So there you go. The Alpha has arrived on AT&T and can be yours today for $612.99 off-contract or 199.99 on contract. It is also worth noting that Samsung did tweet earlier this morning reassuring potential buyers that the Alpha is built to last and won’t bend like you know what. So who is off to AT&T today? Who won’t be bothering? Either way, love it or hate it let us know your thoughts on Alpha.
