Sprint to Carry Full Lineup of New Samsung Devices with Sprint Spark

Samsung held its semi-annual Unpacked event at IFA 2014 in Berlin just a little while ago, and it announced the new Fall lineup of its products.  The Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Gear S and Gear VR were the showstoppers here, showcasing a whole slew of new technologies from the South Korean tech giant and an effort to try and out-do everyone in the market at everything.  Sprint is coming out swinging, touting that they’ll have all of the new Samsung devices, sans the Gear S in this particular press release, and is specifically singling out the Galaxy Note Edge as a special product being added to its 2014 lineup.

First up is the Galaxy Note 4, which made its appearance and showed off a slew of new software features, as well as a purportedly enhanced camera with hardware Optical Image Stabilization built in.  The Note 4 builds upon the Note 3’s credentials as a creative device and attempts to take it one step further, giving users even more creative options to fit into the niches of every day life.  Furthering that design Samsung also announced the Galaxy Note Edge, which takes the Quad-HD screen of the Note 4 and adds a 160-pixel wide ticker tape that stretches around the side of the phone, giving users essentially a new toolbox to play with.  This new edge screen offers a range of new features from quick toggles to notifications, stock tickers to camera shortcuts, and is a full touchscreen as well.  Both devices feature Sprint’s new Spark tri-band LTE network support for enhanced mobile data speeds and connectivity.

Last but not least is the Gear VR, which is Samsung’s new partnership with Oculus Rift that is attempting to change the paradigm of virtual reality headsets to meet the needs of today’s consumers.  The Gear VR will pair with other devices to bring an immersive experience to your media consuming needs, or work by itself as well.  There are currently no release dates for the Gear VR or Galaxy Note Edge, but Sprint is saying October 2014 is when the Note 4 launches.  No devices have a price listed for the time being, but you can pre-register at Sprint’s Note 4 Page right here if you want more information as Sprint releases it.
