More importantly for us in the mobile world, they will also be releasing their Trend Micro Mobile Security app, which blocks malicious apps from ever being installed.
The Mobile Security app is not exactly cheap, but you will have to be the one that decides if protecting your smartphone is worth it. There is a free version, but it does not do too much beyond scanning your apps, backup and Facebook Privacy, although there is no third party advertising. It will protect you from online threats, data theft and actual loss of your smartphone or tablet. It contains an antivirus, antispyware, web filtering, backup, social networking privacy protection and anti-theft features.
It identifies bad apps and fake websites that may try to steal your information and those sneaky apps that can actually sign you up for expensive third party services. It can also help you select the best security settings on Facebook to help protect your privacy in the social media world.

The backup feature allows you to protect your data – back it up, so if your device is lost, stolen, upgraded or erased, you will be able to restore your precious files.
