Samsug’s Galaxy Note 4 Gets First OTA With Better Battery Life and More

The Galaxy Note 4 is making its way around the world and as is so often the case, a small OTA update recently hit the device to tighten up some bolts and plug some final holes. The build number you’ll want to check to see if yours is up-to-date is XXU1ANJ4 and while the 35MB or so file doesn’t appear to be much, it’s said to improve battery life “significantly”. You can read more about this update here.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 Gets Android 4.4.4 on T-Mobile

Never say that Samsung doesn’t take care of its customers we suppose, at least not where OTA updates are concerned. The company has been handling their 4.4.4 updates pretty well and next in line is the giant Galaxy Mega 6.3 on T-Mobile (with the model number of SGH-M819N). For those keeping an eye out on the update, it’s the M819NTMBBNI5 version you’ll be looking for. Other than a few tweaks and some performance fixes here and there, you shouldn’t notice anything major on your majorly massive mobile.

HTC One M8 Gets Eye Experience and Dot View Improvements for Unlocked and Developer Edition Gets the Same

HTC announced that their new camera features would come as the Eye Experience update for the original HTC One, the M8 and a handful of other phones and they were quick to deliver on that promise. In the US, the unlocked and developer editions of the device are getting an update to software version 3.28.1540.5 which is about 240MB in size and brings with it some improvements to the Dot View case as well as the aforementioned Eye Experience. Speaking of which, you’ll be able to enjoy auto-selfies as well as literally tell your M8 to take a photo.

Samsung to Update the Galaxy Note 8.0 to Android 4.4.2 KitKat on AT&T

If you were beginning to think that Samsung had forgotten about the Galaxy Note 8.0, we won’t blame you, after all they’ve been quiet when it comes to updates for the little tablet that could. At long last, the Android 4.4.2 update on AT&T is ready to go and while you won’t get many more features from Samsung here, you’ll at least be running one of the more up-to-date versions of Android that’re out there. The software build you’re looking for is I467UCANI2 and it’ll be a pretty sizable download. If you want to read more, just head on over to here.

Android 4.4.4 Update for the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet Set to Bring Z3 Features

Last week, we learned that the Android 4.4.4 update for the Xperia Z2 and Z2 Tablet were confirmed as 23.0.1.A.0.167 and while initially we thought the update we just be bug fixes, it now seems like the update to bring with it a handful of features from the Z3, most notably the look and feel found in Sony’s latest flagship. A recent leak from Japan showed off the new firmware and what sort of changes we were in store for. You can take a look at them here.

T-Mobile US Galaxy Note 4 Gets Small OTA Update Just After Launching

Much like they did with the international version of the Galaxy Note 4, Samsung is bringing a small update to the T-Mobile version in the US. There’s a good chance that is brings the same sort of features as the one listed above, but it’s nice to see nuts and bolts tightened before a big launch like this.
