Huawei Honor 4X visited TENAA (China’s equivalent of the FCC) and showed off its specifications, it was just a matter of time until Huawei launches the device. That just happened and of course the specifications go hand-in-hand to the ones we’ve seen in TENAA’s listing. The device supports China Mobile’s, China Unicom’s and Chian Telecom’s 2G, 3G and 4G bands and also supports SIM cards from 50 different carriers world wide. It is also worth noting that this is a dual-SIM device. Anyhow, let’s check out its specifications and what not.
Honor 4X sports a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS LCD display along with 2GB of RAM for your multitasking needs. This handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 processor, a 64-bit quad-core unit which is clocked at 1.2GHz and comes with an Adreno 306 GPU for graphics rendering. The device ships with 8GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card) and a 3000mAh battery which is non-removable. On the back of the device you can find a 13-megapixel camera (Sony’s second-gen BSI, F2.0 aperture). Honor 4X comes with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed with EMUI (Emotion UI) 3.0 pre-installed. This UI has some useful gesture and such features, it is getting better and better with each iteration.
If you live in China, you’ll be able to pre-order this thing on October 28th and the device will be available on sale on November 6th. The device will be priced around 1,299 Yuan it seems, though the China Telecom version will be available for 999 Yuan according to the source. Either price you look at, this is a good deal I believe. If you’d like to get a Huawei smartphone, you could certainly do worse at this price point. Snapdragon 410 might not be the most powerful processor out there, not even close to that, but it is a great performer, just like its predecessor was. Don’t forget you also get 2GB of RAM here, so multitasking shouldn’t be much of an issue for this device. 13-megapixel camera is also here and the device looks rather nice as far as the design goes, not to mention that the build quality also seems to be up to par.
