The LG Tribute Is Now Available On Virgin Mobile For $79.99 On A Prepaid Plan

The LG G3 is doing just fine as far as sales go it seems. The company did a great job making that thing and the device really does offer a lot. This Korean company wants to penetrate low and mid-range markets as well it seems. They’ve released LG L Fino and LG L Bello smartphones back in August which belong in the mid-range category if you ask me, though the company has priced them a bit too high in my humble opinion.

The LG Tribute just launched on Virgin Mobile in the US and it’s a slightly modified LG L Fino, the device has an almost identical size, specs and overall design as the LG L Fino. LG Tribute features a 4.5-inch WVGA (800 x 480) display along with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of built-in storage. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz which comes with an Adreno 305 GPU. 5-megapixel camera is located at the back of the device along with a LED flash, Virgin Mobile doesn’t mention the front-facing shooter, but I believe it’s included and quite probably a VGA snapper if we are to judge by LG L Fino’s specs. 2100mAh battery comes with the device and it is removable. Android 4.4.4 KitKat comes out of the box with LG’s custom “G” UI on top of it which brings along a slew of features. Knock Code, Smart Notice and Dual Window are all included here in order to increase your productivity on this device.

You can get this device for $79.99 on a prepaid plan if you’d like, which is a pretty decent deal I suppose considering that’s the outright cost. The LG Tribute seems like a decent mid-range device and it is powerful enough for most people. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 is a proven chip and can handle basically everything you throw at it. The screen to resolution ratio isn’t exactly great and you get only 4GB of internal storage here, but you can’t exactly ask for more considering the price, this is after all just a mid-range device and should be judged as such.
